Welcome. What components are included in this course portfolio? What is found in each component? Read the brief descriptions below or click on a link to find out.

Introduction of the problem and the underlying pedagogy.

Course Précis contains the course context, including a course description; specifics about students, instructional focus, and goals & objectives; basic information on assignments, projects, and exams; a description of a typical class; and a course calendar.

Assignments includes three samples to illustrate the variety of assignments students complete. Arranged chronically, they include a ten-minute paper, the midterm exam, and the final course project.

Student Work  focuses on graded samples of students’ work: an in-class activity, a reading reflection, the midterm exam, and selected components from two units created by students.

Lesson Plan  contains a typical class “script,” including the context in which the lesson was planned and taught, a description of the activities, visuals, a minute paper, and reading prompts for the following class.

Summation is an introspective self-evaluation of my self-study and serves as the conclusion.

This portfolio website is an outgrowth of a paper version originally created in 2002.
