ASSIGNMENTS AND METHODS

I designed L216 so that course assignments and activities help students to learn, practice, and improve the skills necessary to master the course objectives as laid out in the Goals & Objectives section of this portfolio.  Work accomplished in the first part of the semester, while receiving prompt feedback from me, is weighted lightly so that students may take risks and develop skills they may not yet have in a relatively low stakes environment.  Culminating assignments worth a significant amount of the final grade are not due until the last weeks of the semester so that students have as much time as possible to learn and/or practice the skills they need to succeed in the course.

In the links below, I discuss the three most important assignments (or assignment clusters) that help students learn in L216.
